Every cloud has a silver lining

I'm supposed to meet with Suyen again today since its their last day here in Korea. We decided to meet in Gyeongbok Palace where they are scheduled to go in the morning. However, their tour schedule somehow went differently so we didn't get to meet. Even though I was already in the area, and we are already talking over the phone. :( So instead of sulking over what didn't happen, I just made the most of where I was. I witnessed the changing of guards ceremony again (which was cool by the way) and then walked til I reached the National Folk Museum. We didn't go there during our field trip last semester despite it being around the palace.

Then I walked and walked, til I surprisingly reached Samcheong-dong. Yay! Its synonymous with Bukchon because they both preserve the Korean traditional landscape with Hanok villages which makes it a good tourist spot. I've been wanting to go there for a photowalk and to try one of the cafes too. :) The cafes and galleries around the area are so trendy and sophisticated but still most of them still maintain the Korean vibe so walking around is very relaxing and comforting. Hehe. I was able to try in Cafe 5Cijung which I will blog about later on. :)

From today, Samcheong-dong is already one of my favorite places in Seoul. ♥
