Omiyages from Japan

Last week, my Japanese friends, namely Yurika and Saki whom I met during our exposure trip in Sendai last year went to visit the Philippines. Yurika and I became really close since she was my homestay there and we thought it would be nice for her to have her homestay at my house as well so I invited her here. :) Saki, on the other hand was also with us in Japan, she was also close to me and she got her holiday from her part-time job so she also decided to come with Yurika.

They arrived last Monday, at 330pm and stayed until yesterday so its actually the reason why I haven't blogged the whole week. I toured them around along with my best friend Zhantelle and some participants of the exposure trip last year. I will probably blog their stay on the posts on the following days, so you watch out for it. :)

I was talking to Saki, before they went here and she said she had bought me Japanese Hello Panda as Omiyage. "Omiyage" is a Japanese term for gift. Its like a pasalubong. She remembered it was my favorite! :) Anyhow, when Saki brought out her bag of omiyages I was so shocked of how many omiyages she bought us. Yurika's omiyages are even separate from what Saki brought so our table was full of Japanese stuffs!

They bought omiyages for everyone in the house, like Mirin and Japanese rice for my mom. Of course there's for Zhantelle too. :) Now our pantry's stocked with Japanese delis ;)
