Living in a totally different place from home is very challenging most especially when you're not very good at speaking their native language. Even though I kind of know how to read Hangeul, I never really had that commitment to master it so I still can't converse well. More so, I can't understand yet signs so I just really rely on my instincts, hahaha. Anyways, today, Kuya Kerwin and I were having our "walking breakfast" and memorizing how to get to Yeokgok Station by walking when we decided to buy a T money so that we can try the subway and bus already. Yeey! We first dropped by at Tours les Jours to buy food before we started walking towards the station.
Cream cheese walnut bread and iced coffee for 4800W
As I've said, it was not easy conversing with people so we had a hard time buying and reloading it ourselves. Good thing we met one of the Filipino student also from our school who was also about to ride the subway. She helped us how to get one and load it as well. When she asked us where we heading, we blurted out, "Sa Seoul po." then she lead us the way and a second after, we're already waiting for the train that's heading for Seoul.
Seoul is a very big city. And for us foreigners, being lost is just a part of the adventure. Though we're headed to Myeong-dong (its a shopping district where you can find the popular brands worldwide), we still get to see the other beautiful streets of the city. So its still a win-win situation for us. :) Anyways, here are some of the shots I took while we're on the hunt for Myeong-dong shopping heaven, hihi :))
Cheong gye cheon - its in the middle of the city. Amazing, right? :)
After more than 2 hours of endless walking, we finally reached the Myeong-dong area where almost all fashion stores and famous food chains can be found. For a moment, I felt like I was in complete ecstasy :") I can't hardly choose what store to go into! Haha! Gaaaah!!! But of course, I chose to linger on the 3-floored Forever 21. Yes, you heard right. Forever 21 in Myeong-dong has 3 floors. I too was shocked, and beyond happy needless to say. I felt like I found a finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. :)
Anyways, I decided not to buy despite my great urge to since I haven't really settled down yet and I still have to prioritize my expenses because school hasn't really started yet. Plus I don't have my mom around anymore to just ask extra money whenever I need it, you know. ;P
So yeah, that's it for my journey today. I surely will come back to this place when I have enough Won to spend on hihi :D
