A different month-ender

Leap Day only happens once every four years. Just like today. I read a lot of tweets from people this morning telling they like to make this day special by doing something unusual for a change.

When I was younger, one of the things my mom, my sister and I love to do is bake. We used to be mom's little helpers; mixing and measuring the ingredients, choosing what toppings to put and tasting if the batter is okay already ;)

Today, Mom and I made our all time favorite cinnamon rolls, my brother's favorite cheese bread and I suggested her for us to try making Spanish bread. They all looked mouthwatering even when they're still in the oven. Hahaha :)

What do you think? ;) Something special, and different for today, there you go. :)

How about you, what's was your Leap Day activity? ;)

Finding inspirations

For the past few days I've been at home, I've been travelling through various blogs wherein I was unconscious that majority of those where food blogs. I found myself browsing the same blogs over and over to see new recipes, and even taking down notes of them. Then I realized that I think I've discovered two things that I might wanna embark on in the future - baking and food photography. Yey!

I've always loved baking ever since I was a child. I'm pretty sure my mom influenced me because it's her hobby and I used to watch her then when she bakes for us. Plus recently, it became my hobby as well since most of my days now as I've mentioned earlier were spent at home. Aside from that, baking gives me that satisfying and calming feeling whenever I feel anxious about something. It gives me peace of mind, in the simplest sense. :)

As for food photography, well, photography alone is already a passion of mine so I guess I just like the idea of capturing the food wherein people can actually be gastronomically satisfied just by seeing a photo of it. :)

With this, I would like to share these wonderful blogs (along with the photo of my favorite recipe of them) that inspires me right now and see for yourself how satiated you'd be just by viewing their photos. You can also have a copy of their recipes by the way. I've tried some of them and they're a winner. :)

As you can see, most of the recipes are for breakfast baking. Its because I love breakfasts, and for me its the most important meal of the day so yeah. Maybe I'll post a blog about my favorite breakfasts or something in the coming days anyway.

So you stuffed now? Just as I thought. :)
