1/2 cup regular rolled oats1 cup liquid (milk or water)1/2 an organic apple1/2 tsp vanilla extract1/8 tsp cinnamon1 small sachet Stevia
nut butter; for topping
Bring 1 cup liquid (I used Silk Almond Milk) to a boil, add 1/2 cup regular rolled oats, and reduce heat to medium.
Immediately dice in the apple to the cooking oats. You want to add this as soon as possible so the apple has a chance to soften up in the cooking process.
Once more of the liquid has dissolved, add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1/8 tsp cinnamon and stevia.
If you'd like to add any additional ingredients (coconut oil, raisins, sunflower seeds), do so now.
When you're pleased with the consistency of the oatmeal, transfer to a bowl. Top with swirls of grape or strawberry jam/jelly/preserves and globs of your favorite nut butter. I used Better N’Peanut Butter. Add a splash of your milk of choice and enjoy!
